2026 Prep Hoops Circuit Team

Head Coach
Fredrick Adams Jr
Fredrick “Coach Fred” is entering his 8th year with the Dragons and brings a wealth of experience to the program. He currently serves as the Head Assistant Coach at Detroit Loyola, now entering his 3rd year in that role and 4th year overall with the team. With 23 seasons of coaching experience, Coach Fred brings a deep knowledge of the game and a strong commitment to player development and team success.

Assistant Coach
Orlando Thomas
Orlando enters his second season with the Dragons following an impressive debut year at the helm of our 15U team. His passion for the game and depth of knowledge have been instrumental in the development and success of his players. Among his many strengths, Orlando’s ability to remain calm and composed in the face of adversity stands out—setting a positive example that fosters confidence and poise throughout his team. Under his leadership, the 15U squad captured two championships. Although personal commitments have led him to step down from his head coaching role, Orlando continues to make a significant impact within the program, contributing his expertise to the varsity team as an assistant coach.

Score Keeper
E'naira Watkins
E’Naira is entering her second full season as the proud official scorekeeper for the boys’ varsity basketball team. She first discovered her passion for scorekeeping in 2023 while working with the 7th-grade girls’ team, and she’s continued to excel ever since. Now a junior at Detroit Mumford High School, E’Naira has earned a reputation as one of the best scorekeepers in the Midwest.

#7 PG
Nathan Smith
Nathan “Nate” Smith is entering his first year with the Dragons and will be playing his junior season at Brownstown Woodhaven. Despite being new to the program, Nate’s leadership and work ethic have already made a strong impact, earning him the honor of being named team captain for the 2026 season.

#2 SF
Melivin Stanley, Jr
Melvin returns to the Dragons program after a year away and is ready to make a major impact. With his exceptional length, he creates problems for opponents in all three phases of the game—offense, defense, and rebounding. Poised for a breakout season, Melvin is expected to be a key contributor for Plymouth High while also making his mark on the Prep Hoops circuit.

#23 SF
Donovan Clark
Donovan is entering his sophomore year at Detroit Loyola High and his second year in the Dragons program. An early injury slowed him during the spring and early summer, but since returning, he’s become a powerful force on the court. With a strong inside and outside game paired with fierce defense, colleges will be in awe of this 6'5" phenom.

#3 PG
Braylan King
Brayan enters his third season with the Dragons as one of the team’s veteran leaders. Since his early days with the 8th grade and 15U teams, his growth has been evident both on and off the court. Through steady development in basketball IQ and physical strength, Brayan is poised to take the next step in his progression as a player and point guard. Despite having just three years of playing experience, he continues to impress coaches and teammates alike with his defensive mindset and team-first approach.
