Fredrick “Coach Fred" brings a wealth of experience to the program. He currently serves as the Head Assistant Coach at Detroit Loyola, entering is 23rd season of coaching experience, Coach Fred brings a deep knowledge of the game and a strong commitment to player development and team success.

Orlando Thomas

Orlando, following an impressive debut year at the helm of our 15U team. His passion for the game and depth of knowledge have been instrumental in the development and success of his players. Among his many strengths, Orlando’s ability to remain calm and composed in the face of adversity stands out—setting a positive example that fosters confidence and poise throughout his team. Under his leadership, the 15U squad captured two championships. Although personal commitments have led him to step down from his head coaching role, Orlando continues to make a significant impact within the program, contributing his expertise to the varsity team as an assistant coach.

E'naira Watkins
Junior | Mumford (Detroit, MI)

E’Naira is entering her second full season as the proud official scorekeeper for the boys’ varsity basketball team. She first discovered her passion for scorekeeping in 2023 while working with the 7th-grade girls’ team, and she’s continued to excel ever since. Now a junior at Detroit Mumford High School, E’Naira has earned a reputation as one of the best scorekeepers in the Midwest.

Nathan “Nate” Smith is entering his first year with the Dragons. Despite being new to the program, Nate’s leadership and work ethic have already made a strong impact, earning him the honor of being named team captain for the 2026 season.

Melivin Stanley, Jr
Junior | Plymouth (Plymouth, MI)

Melvin returns to the Dragons program after a year away and is ready to make a major impact. With his exceptional length, he creates problems for opponents in all three phases of the game offense, defense, and rebounding. Poised for a breakout season, Melvin is expected to be a key contributor for the Dragons while also making his mark on the Prep Hoops circuit.

Donovan Clark
Sophomore | Loyola (Detroit, MI)

Donovan is entering his second year in the Dragons program. An early injury slowed him during the spring and early summer, but since returning, he’s become a powerful force on the court. With a strong inside and outside game paired with fierce defense, colleges will be in awe of this 6'2" phenom.

Braylon enters his third season with the Dragons as one of the team’s veteran leaders. Since his early days with the 8th grade and 15U teams, his growth has been evident both on and off the court. Through steady development in basketball IQ and physical strength, Braylon is poised to take the next step in his progression as a player and point guard. Despite having just three years of playing experience, he continues to impress coaches and teammates alike with his defensive mindset and team-first approach.

Joseph Hambrick

Joseph enters his first season with the Dragons bringing a strong veteran presence. This lefty is a pure scorer with exceptional athleticism. He’s been hungry for the opportunity to showcase his talents on a national stage, and now that moment has finally arrived. Known as one of the top defenders in the DPSL (Detroit Public School League), he’s ready to prove that he’s up for the challenge and prepared to lock down anyone who comes his way.

Juan Harden

Juan enters his fifth season with the Dragons ready to elevate his game to the highest level. A pure scorer, Juan has continued to sharpen his defensive skills, allowing him to stay on the floor and impact both ends of the court. Nothing seems to shake this young man’s confidence, he stays as cool as a winter’s day.

Jayden Gray
Junior | Renaissance (Detroit, MI)

Jayden is entering his first year with the Dragons. Primarily a traditional post player, he earns most of his points through rebounds and put-backs. He’s very athletic and shows a smooth touch in the mid-range game. Defensively, he’s exactly what the Dragons need—an anchor in man-to-man coverage who excels as a shot blocker. His size and physicality will create problems for opposing players, and his game has steadily evolved to include putting the ball on the floor. This added versatility will have him prepared for the next level for sure.

Jayden Eaton

Jayden enters his first season with the Dragons, bringing a valuable ability to stretch the floor and elevate the team’s offensive versatility. Determined to silence any doubts about his defensive presence and rebounding, he plays with poise and control, never allowing the game to speed him up. Jayden is more than ready to prove that he not only belongs at this level, but that he’s prepared for the next one.

Aiden Smith
Junior | American International (Inkster, MI)

Aiden enters his first season with the Dragons and brings a tremendous amount of experience to a very young team. With an already college-ready frame, Mr. Smith provides the physical style of play required at this level. His ability to play four different positions gives the lineup flexibility without any drop-off, thanks to his strong scoring ability. Although he is extremely passionate about the game, his calmness in crucial moments adds a level of value that is unmatched.
